The resources include activity pages for learning to trace and write the letters of the alphabet, ABC coloring and craft pages, as well as activities and games that help children learn letter recognition, beginning sounds of each letter, beginning letters of words and alphabet sequencing. More advance learning activities are included, such as forming sentences and building stories with word blocks and pictures. This printable resource makes it easy for children to transition into those skills.

ABCs with Acrobat Bear is a very visual resource: There are 104 black and white pages, and 76 pages in color. Included are activities to help children use their other senses (taste, touch, smell, hearing) to aid in their learning. There are many options and ideas for using the printable pages, whether you're using them as a large classroom activity or a quiet activity, as with parent and child, or with a small group of children. You can review the different resources and choose the ones best suited for your group of children. Even children who already know the alphabet can benefit from the advanced learning skills such as Silly Sentences and Ad Lib Picture Stories.

Special Needs Kids: This resource should work well for creative children, and children with short attention spans (for ex., children with ADHD and ADD), since some of the crafts and activities give children an opportunity to actively participate in their own learning, to use their creativity to make their own version of the crafts, as well as to be creative in forming picture sentences and stories with the adult's help. Touch-n-Feel Letters, Picture Puppets, Silly Sentences and Make-My-Own Picture Story Books are some of the activities that can be used to help develop creativity in children. They can also begin to learn to draw with the Connect-the-Dot pictures provided; and, at the same time, learn the sequence of the letters of the alphabet.

Acrobat Bear Learning Center - Encourage Children and Build Confidence and Motivation to Learn the Alphabet

A child's first learning experiences are important in shaping his attitudes about learning. To help make the child's first learning experience enjoyable and rewarding. What makes learning enjoyable? Well, just increasing knowledge is satisfying. But children don't really have the capacity to think about long-term rewards. Learning to express yourself, making something tangible yourself, and praise and encouragement from the teacher or parent are the other ways to help a child enjoy learning. BIble Kids Fun Zone also includes built-in ways to help your children have an enjoyable first learning experience.

The teacher or parent can use the classroom "helper" to encourage the childrens' first attempts to learn the alphabet and test their knowledge. With this friendly teddy bear the teacher uses the "spinner" on the bear's tummy to tell the children their letter /picture matching or alphabet sequencing is "Right!", "Excellent!" or encourages them to "Try again", or tells them that's "almost right" to encourage them to keep going because they are on the right track. More below:
