These alphabet crafts and games were designed to get preschoolers excited about learning the alphabet. Included in this fun alphabet resource are crafts and games to teach letter recognition, beginning sounds, and identification of common objects in a child's world -- such as toys, animals, clothes, fruit, etc. There are also sensory crafts for each of the five senses; make-my-own crafts that children can be proud of; alphabet workbook and scrapbooks to reinforce learning; and alphabet stick puppets children can make themselves. In addition, there are printable alphabet crafts that can be used for games: alphabet dice, or blocks, alphabet picture cards. Included are simple instructions on how to play easy fun games to review and reinforce learning the alphabet. To help kids feel a sense of self-mastery we included personalized ABC photo frame craft to encourage children right from the start of their learning, as well as a ABC certificate of achievement craft children can color themselves to help them feel proud of their hard work.
These alphabet crafts should work well for creative children, and children with short attention spans (for ex., children with ADHD and ADD), since some of the crafts and activities in the ABC Theme download give children an opportunity to actively participate in their own learning, to use their creativity to make their own version of the crafts, as well as to be creative in forming picture sentences and stories (rebus stories) with the adult's help. Touch-n-Feel Letters, Picture Puppets, Silly Sentences and Make-My-Own Picture Story Books are some of the activities that can be used to help develop creativity in children. Kids can also begin to learn to draw with the Connect-the-Dot alphabet pictures provided; and, at the same time, learn the sequence of the letters of the alphabet.
