What Does the Bible Say About Celebrating Easter and other holidays?

There are YouTube videos explaining how, for centuries, the pagan holiday of Easter was not the celebration of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, but the celebration of the satanic counterfeit resurrection - the resurrection of the false god, Tammuz. Later the Roman Catholic church blended the pagan practices of Ishtar with Christianity, Satan's trick to give us a false "Christian" holiday.

I have listed, or linked to, some of the related bible verses. I encourage you to follow the links to see the context of the whole chapter to study it more in-depth when you get a chance. (Bold is added for emphasis in the Bible verse quotes).

I'm not suggesting that you believe any YouTube video or even my article, but that you just seek the Lord on this matter. We're not to be blind, nor deceived. We're to be set apart, and to worship in spirit and in truth. I pray that the Lord will lead everyone reading this to the truth.

What Does God Say About Pagan Holidays and Customs?

Deuteronomy 18:9-13 9 When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the Lord your God. NIV

Ezekiel 8:13-14 13 Again, he said, "You will see them doing things that are even more detestable." 14 Then he brought me to the entrance of the north gate of the house of the Lord, and I saw women sitting there, mourning the god Tammuz. NIV [Read the whole chapter to see the context and God's reaction].

Jeremiah 10:1-25 1 Hear what the Lord says to you, people of Israel. 2 This is what the Lord says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations
or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them. 3 For the practices of the peoples are worthless; they cut a tree out of the forest, and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel. 4 They adorn it with silver and gold; they fasten it with hammer and nails so it will not totter.
NIV [Sure sounds a lot like a Christmas tree to me].

Isaiah 2:6-11 You, Lord, have abandoned your people, the descendants of Jacob. They are full of superstitions from the East; they practice divination like the Philistines and embrace pagan customs. 7 Their land is full of silver and gold; there is no end to their treasures. Their land is full of horses; there is no end to their chariots. 8 Their land is full of idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made. 9 So people will be brought low and everyone humbled— do not forgive them. a 10 Go into the rocks, hide in the ground from the fearful presence of the Lord and the splendor of his majesty! 11 The eyes of the arrogant will be humbled and human pride brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day. NIV

1 Corinthians 10:18-20 18 Consider the people of Israel: Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar? 19 Do I mean then that food sacrificed to an idol is anything, or that an idol is anything? 20 No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.
