Huggie Lamb	Pops up, wave to kids, then disappears.	Hi kids! Its me...Huggie-Lamb. I'm back to share another Easter story with you. Here's how it goes.
Play: Scene - Scene 2
Huggie Lamb:	Pops up on stage again. Put his head down, with your thumb (his hand) on his head.	Hm-m-m-m. I wonder why everybody is so happy on Easter. What is all the fuss about? When I go to the store, I see all the pretty Easter baskets and cute little bunnies and chicks. But, what is everybody really celebrating anyways?" Hm-m-m-m.
Huggie Lamb's Mom	Pops up on stage, walks by, looks first to Huggie Lamb, then to kids, then back to HL.	Hi Huggie Lamb. Hi Kids! Hey Huggie Lamb...You look deep in thought. What are you thinking about?
Huggie Lamb	Head up.	Well... I was just thinking about Easter and what it means. Mom...what is Easter all about anyways? Is it about the Easter bunny and chicks?
Mom	Shake head no.	No-o-o-o...that's not what Easter is about.
Huggie Lamb	Jump up and down.	Well... then... is it about all the fun games we play, like Easter egg hunts?
Mom	Shake head no.	No-o-o-o
Huggie Lamb	Cock head to side.	Well, could it be about family get-togethers and cards and gifts?
Mom		Well, those are some of the ways people celebrate Easter, but that's not what Easter is about. Guess again.
Huggie Lamb	Jump from side to side.	Well, how about dressing up in fancy clothes and going to church...is that what Easter is about?
Mom	Cocks head to side.	You're getting closer. But, there's much more to Easter than that.
Huggie Lamb	Head down. (Sigh) Place hands over eyes.	Oh, boy... now I'm getting a little frustrated.
Huggie Lamb	Push hands up and out to side.	So... then.... what is all the Easter excitement about, anyway!? Why is everybody so happy on Easter?
Mom	She also pushes hands up and out to side, excitedly.	Well, I'll tell you. Easter is the day Jesus came back to life! Do you know what is so happy about that?"
Huggie Lamb	Shake head no.	No, not exactly.
Mom	Turn to Huggie lamb and point to him.	Well, its happy for a lot of reasons. Since you are only 3 years old, you don't understand everything yet. But, in simple terms, it means that God loves you s-o-o-o much that he made a way for us to live with him forever.
Huggie Lamb	Cock head to side.	Huh?
Mom	Point up	You see, God is totally good, with no sin. That's why He is called Holy. He sent Jesus, his only Son, to die on the cross.
Mom	She also pushes hands up and out to side, excitedly, then shakes head no.	Jesus did this because he loved us so much. He took the punishment for all the wrong things we have done, and all the wrong things we will ever do. He did this so we could be right with God. Since God is Holy, we can't be close to Him if we have sin.
Huggie Lamb	Put head down, then up at end?	Oh, W-o-o-w-w! I think I'm starting to get it. Especially the part about how much God loves us. Since God forgives me when I ask Him to, does that mean that I don't have to feel bad any more when I do something wrong?
Mom	Shakes head no at the end.	That's right. When you believe that Jesus died for your sins, and you ask Jesus to be your leader, He comes and lives in your heart. He is always there for you. You can go to Him anytime and pray. He is always there with open arms, welcoming you. He loves you so-o-o-o much that he wants to be close to you. But if there is sin that you have not talked to Him about, that sin gets in the way, and then we can't be close to God. But, if you admit what you did wrong and ask Him to forgive you, He will.
Huggie Lamb	Shakes head no, pushes hands out to side.	Oh...that wouldn't be good if I didn't admit what I did wrong. I always want to stay close to God. He's my best friend!
Mom	She also pushes hands up and out to side, excitedly.	Yes...He's my best friend too. And He will always be your best friend if you let Him. And there's more: When God raised Jesus to life again, he proved to us that there is life after death. And He promises that we can live with Him forever in heaven if we believe in Him! Isn't that happy?
Huggie Lamb	Shakes head yes, and point to scripture on board.	Yeah! Really happy! God really loves us a lot, huh? Just like it says in John 3:16!
Mom	Pushes hands up and out to side.	He sure does! More than anybody! More than we can understand!
Huggie Lamb	Jumps up and down.	Well, thanks for explaining why Easter is so happy, mom. I want to ask Jesus to be my leader too. Can you help me pray?
Mom	Shake head yes.	Sure..let's bow our heads. Let's pray together. Just repeat after me, or say it in your own words. Anyone can join us if you believe in Jesus and want Him to be your leader too.
Play: Scene - Scene 3 (Explain to the kids that they can pray with you too, either silently or out loud. Tell them to let you know after class if they prayed this prayer, and to let their parents and pastor know too).
Mom first, saying each phrase of the prayer, then Huggie Lamb repeats each phrase after her.	Both characters move to corner, bow their heads, put hands together.	Dear God,Thank you so much for making a way for me to be right with you. Thank you for sending your Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to pay for my sins. I believe Jesus did this for me. Now I ask you to come into my heart. I turn now from the wrong things I've been doing. I want to make a fresh start. Please forgive me and help me to live for you. Thank you Jesus, for your promise that I can live with you forever! In Jesus' name, Amen.
Huggie Lamb	Jump up and down excitedly.	Now I can be happy with everybody else because I believe that Jesus died for my sins too!
Mom	Pushes hands up and out to side, excitedly.	Yes, we can all be happy together because of what Jesus did for us!
